Dr. Kimberly Nelson-Arrington
Dr. Kimberly Nelson-Arrington is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, in the State of Illinois, with an earned PsyD (Doctor of Clinical Psychology) and PhD in Pastoral Care and Counseling.
Over the past 20 years, she has provided services to individuals and groups in various settings,
including hospitals and primary care settings, skilled nursing facilities, and college counseling
centers. She has also worked in public, private, and alternative school settings with inner city, “at-risk” youth who have survived abuse and trauma, and individuals with varying levels of mental health concerns (mild to severe). Additionally, she worked with the American Cancer Society for eight years, providing emotional and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones.
Dr. Nelson-Arrington is the founder and CEO of Nephesh Wellness, LLC. She is also an
Adjunct Professor at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University
(Chicago campus). In her practice of psychotherapy, she integrates the insights of theology and
spirituality with the principles of clinical counseling and psychology to help her clients, as she
strongly believes in the need to treat the spirit, soul, and body to achieve health and wholeness.
Her approach to the care of others is according to 3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thou soul prospers.”
